[BIRDFEED EXCLUSIVE] This week's Birdfeed track comes from UK's GAWP!
-How long have you been creating music?
Over ten years, ever since i was a little girl.. .but I’ve been producing on a serious level the last 5 years.
-What do you use to make your tracks?
I use Logic X as my main work station, Moog Voyager, Prophet 6, SSL Desk, UAD Plugs and a Triangle when i want some extra ting.
-How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?
The first Dirtybird track i ever heard was Claude VonStroke's “Deep Throat”, I heard it in a mix for a radio show, then later heard Claude in a interview about Dirtybird's whole ethos, i was instantly wanting to know more about this exciting new brand.
-Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?
It would probably have to be Justin Martin as I’ve never heard anyone make such laidback melodic music with a set of huge balls…The mans a musical wizard! Also I reckon I could get some pizza when he’s not looking.
-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?
Groundhog day, Groundhog day, Groundhog day, Groundhog day…
-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
The Prodigy, If you have never seen them live i suggest you do… its the most insane experience / concert I’ve ever been to... Twice.
-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?
I would go back to the 90's to my home town, to stop my mum badly cutting my fringe so short.
-What species of bird best describes you and why?
Ostrich - The world's largest flightless bird, with three stomachs. Similar to me sitting in the studio eating far too much and flapping for no reason.
-What does Dirtybird mean to you?
Music has always been first and foremost in my life and Dirtybird came along when I was influentially lost as an artist--it was the inspiration which guided me to make the sounds i create today… and what a humble pleasure releasing tracks on my favourite label.
I'm not sure what i would do without the music, events, artists, fans, socks and snapbacks…it brings people together and this is why theres such a great community.
Keep feeding the Birds!
